We can't eradicate them and must continue preventative and control measures every month to keep our environments tolerable. Grant Animal Clinic recommends a variety of options to best suit your situation. Fleas can live and reproduce comfortably in our temperature controlled houses all year, therefore a monthly flea adulticide is first recommended. We have a once a month pill (Trifexis or Comfortis) that kills fleas for 30days. We also offer Vectra 3D (for dogs) if you also have a tick problem. We now have a tick and flea control (Seresto) collar that lasts 8 months. It is the best deal for your dollar. These housholds stay well protected.
